    • Dingle Government Workers Development Cooperative (DGWDC) “BULIGAY PROGRAM” and Western Visayas Alliance of Cooperative (WVAC) “DAGURO PROGRAM”
    OBJECTIVES
    1. To ensure sustainable monetary benefits to members in case of member’s hospitalization/death and/or death of member’s spouse, children and designated beneficiaries.
    2. Related Current Policies:
  • 2.1 Every member shall contribute P840.00 to coop’s “Buligay Program” to cover the following benefits:
  • 2.1.1 Death Benefit of P35,000.00
  • 2.1.2 Burial Benefit of P15,000.00
  • 2.1.3 Hospitalization Benefit of P5,000.00 or actual expenses incurred
  • 2.1.4 Tangkilik Fund of P4,700.00
  • 2.2 Every member is required to deposit in his savings account P500.00 per year which is non – withdrawable.
    • 3. Related Data on Membership:
  • 3.1 DGWDC - 1,970 Members
  • 3.2 WVAC - 10,000 Members
    • 4. Related Concepts:
  • 4.1 Pre – collection from members of P840.00 per year for contribution to DGWDC’s “BULIGAY PROGRAM” is a violation of the insurance law.
  • 4.2 DGWDC shall instead increase the current yearly saving of P500.00 to additional P500.00 totalling P1,000.00 to be collected in January and July every year in lieu of the P840.00. (Note: Deacrease of P340.00)
  • 4.3 DGWDC shall enroll all its members to the “DAGURO PROGRAM” of the WVAC.
  • 4.4 With approval of the general assembly, upon occurence of any calamity on coop members/WVAC members, collective amount of P400.00 representing twenty (20) estimated deaths shall automatically be withdrawn from the member’s savings.
  • 4.5 As DGWDC and WVAC membership increases, monetary benefit also increases.
    • 5. Proposed Contribution and Monetary Benefits:
    5.1 Contribution Benefit
    DGWDC “BULIGAY PROGRAM” (1,970 members) Member’s Death P40 x 1,970 = P78,800.00
    WVAC “DAGURO PROGRAM” (10,000 members) Member’s Death P20.00 x 10,000 = P200,000.00
    Total = P278,800.00
  • 5.2. Member’s Hospitalization (Coverage Under Buligay Program)
  • 5.2.1.    More than 7 days P10.00 x 1,970 = 19,700.00
  • 5.2.2.    4 - 6 Days P5.00 x 1,970 = 9,850.00
  • 5.2.3.    1 - 3 Days P2.00 x 1,970 = 3,940.00
    • OR actual expenses incurred whichever is lower.
  • 5.3. Member’s Beneficiaries Death (Coverage Under Buligay Program)
  • 5.3.1 For married couple with more than 3 children – spouse and all other children.
  • 5.3.2 For married couple with 1 child – spouse and 2 other designated beneficiaries.
  • 5.3.3 For married couple with 2 children – spouse and 1 designated beneficiary.
  • For married couple without children – spouse and 3 designated beneficiaries.
  • For single/widow/widower – 4 designated beneficiaries
    • P10.00 x 1,970 = 19,700.00
